LESTAS Co., Ltd. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards as we build new pages, features, and product flows.

Accessibility is a design constraint we hold ourselves to from the start — not a final audit pass before launch. When we have to ship something with a known accessibility limitation, we document it on this page and assign a clear owner.

Our target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We have not reached it, and we would rather tell you where we actually stand than claim a conformance level we cannot back up.

Our most recent internal review (July 2026) went through all thirty WCAG 2.1 Level A success criteria. It found no outright failures, but ten criteria are only partially met — real gaps that we are working through. Level AA has not been formally assessed yet.

WCAG defines requirements across four principles — perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. We review new work against this checklist before it goes live.

The following accessibility features are in place across our storefront:

• Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements — links, buttons, menus, dialogs, the cart drawer — are built to be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the visible focus ring is preserved rather than styled away.
• Screen-reader support. Semantic landmarks (header, main, footer, nav), descriptive page titles, alt text on product imagery, and ARIA labels on controls that lack visible text.
• Color contrast. Body text targets at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and large display text at least 3:1. Status colors (success, warning, error) carry both color and a corresponding icon.
• Reduced motion. We respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting and suppress decorative motion (hovering blobs, mascot floats, scroll-triggered fades) when it’s enabled.
• Resizable text. The site is fully responsive and remains usable when text is enlarged up to 200% without horizontal scrolling on mobile.
• Form clarity. Inputs carry a visible label, errors describe the problem in plain language, and required fields are marked both visually and programmatically.

Some areas of the site fall short of our WCAG 2.1 AA target. These are the ones we know about and are working on:

• Wishlist buttons on some product cards announce “Add to wishlist” whether or not the item is already saved, and show their saved state through color alone. Product cards elsewhere on the site handle this correctly; we are bringing the rest in line.
• Some legacy product imagery lacks descriptive alt text. We’re re-shooting and re-captioning the older library and aim to complete this by Q3 2026.
• Ten WCAG 2.1 Level A criteria are only partially met. None of them block a task outright, but they add friction for screen-reader and keyboard users. Level AA has not been assessed, so there are likely further gaps we have not documented yet.

The site is built to work with the following combinations:

• Screen readers. NVDA on Windows (Firefox + Chrome), VoiceOver on macOS (Safari), VoiceOver on iOS (Safari), and TalkBack on Android (Chrome).
• Browsers. The two most recent major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
• Operating systems. Windows 11, macOS 14+, iOS 16+, and Android 13+.

We check against these when we review a new page template, but we do not run a formal test pass on every combination for every release. Older browsers and assistive tools may work but are outside what we check. If you need to use one, please let us know — we’re happy to help work around limitations.

We try to respond to accessibility-related contacts within one business day. If you need help completing an order because of an accessibility barrier, we can take the order over email and apply any active discounts manually.

Our accessibility review is currently manual:

• Manual keyboard and screen-reader passes on new page templates before they launch, plus a criterion-by-criterion review of the whole storefront — most recently in July 2026, against WCAG 2.1 Level A.
• Reports from you. Barriers you tell us about go onto the same list as anything we find ourselves, and they are usually what gets fixed first.
• What we don’t do yet. We do not run automated accessibility checks (axe-core, Lighthouse) in our build pipeline, and we have not commissioned an independent external audit. Both are on our roadmap; until they happen, we won’t claim them here.
